What to do if VPN Client Icon Is
Not Appearing On Status Bar? Top
- Check whether checkpoint VPN is installed or
not, if installed then
§
Go to Start > Program >
Checkpoint VPN –1 Secure Client > Secure Clint, icon will come, if still
icon do not come then re-installation of secure client program is required
·
What
to do if following message comes while updating the VPN site “error of
communication” with “site 61.95.233.250 has failed”

- First Check whether your Internet is working
or not? For this check other sites like www.google.com,www.yahoo.com
etc.
- If they are working properly then contact to IT-Team.

How
to install Checkpoint VPN – 1 secure client?
- Ask user to close all the open file after
saving it
- Go to Internet explorer
- Type http://210.211.251.62
- Save the file secureremote.zip on desktop
>
- Extract it on desktop and double click on the
file MCXSecureRemotewin2000_XP.exe from the extracted folder and install
it
- Your system will restart automatically after
installation.
- After installation perform following steps to
configure VPN client.
- You will get Envelope/key icon near the clock
on status bar
- Single click on that key icon you will get following box
and do as follows.


- Then click on Sites option and then click on Create New
Option

- Enter The Following IP Address and click on OK button


- You will prompt for username and password please enter
your user name and password as shown below




- Now Click on OK button and minimize the VPN-1
Secure Client and start the Odin application.

How
to install Exodus and what to do if there is any problem with exodus? Top
- If connected trough VSAT then go to Internet
explorer > type http://192.168.20.69/
> save exodus.exe file on desktop > double click on this file to
install the exodus software.
- If connected trough Internet then go to Internet explorer
> type http://210.211.251.62/
> save exodus.exe file on desktop > double click on this file to
install the exodus software.
- If connected trough Dialup then go to Internet explorer
> type http://192.168.4.69/
> save exodus.exe file on desktop > double click on this file to
install the exodus software.
- Step 1:
To Login in to Exodus messenger do the following steps
Go To Start > Program > Exodus > give your username and
password as shown below
and Server Address will be as follows
Internet / Dialup Users:
Server IP will be 192.168.4.31
VSAT Users: Server IP
will be 192.168.20.31


- Step 2:
To add the contact id to receive the messages do the following
steps
Go to Tools > Contacts > Add Contacts > Contact ID >
type
anagramresearch@192.168.4.31
(for Equity segment) and
research@192.168.4.31 (for
Commodity segment) and then click on OK button


- Then it will show following box

- Ask user to ping default gateway. (To find out
default gateway go to DOS prompt and type the command “ ipconfig “)
- Following will be the format of message

- If user is getting ping of default gateway then ask him to
ping server IP address with command “ ping 192.168.1.40 –t -w 6000 ”, if
user is getting ping of the server And still not able to login then check
the following registry settings
- Go to Start > Run > Type regedit > OK
> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > ODIN > ODIN6 > ODIN
Manager > Client TCP-IP, Setting should be as follows:
- Interactive settings should be as follows

- Broadcast Setting should be as follows.

- If user is not getting ping of IP address
192.168.1.40 then book complain in bharti.
- Then Ask user to take ping for default gateway.
- What is gateway ip?
- Do following to know your gateway ip
- E.g. go to Start > Run > cmd >
ipconfig
- If getting default gateway ping then contact
IT person
- If not getting default gateway ping then
there is a network problem and check network setting by calling local
computer engineer.
For Bharti 2
- Ask user to ping default gateway. (To find
out default gateway go to DOS prompt and type the command “ ipconfig “)

How
to reset Password? Top
- There should be an admin terminal on the Regional
branch. Login to admin terminal
and do the following procedure.

Then following box will come, where in enter user code, it will
show the branch/client name in user ID. Give password 123456 in old and new
password, click on unlock and again click on ok. 
- In SA password enter 123456 and give OK. Then
tell you user to reset the password with any alphanumeric combination of
6 characters.
